My sources in government have become tight lipped,
suddenly, about the Zika virus, its progression in the
community, its disposition. The papers are full of stories,
photographs, sensationalism...but one never knows if the
intent is to educate, obfuscate, or just sell copy. My friends
in the media also express concern that their sources are
beginning to dry up. They repeat the same information with
nothing new to add. It seems rather strange that this would
be the case, since the problem is such a societal issue. The
doctors who treat our community are concerned about the
problem, but run into the same obstacles as far as getting
the latest information. There seems to be a lot of activity
at higher levels of government, but to what ends or what it
means is unclear at this time. I have my spys out, but they
have to be quite discreet. There seems to be an embargo
of some sort that is rather mysterious.
